Before Thanksgiving, Marlene had told me that one of our friends was pregnant and due in June sometime. I didn't know it yet, but I would be in the same boat! Soon after I 'announced' my pregnancy to my sister-in-law, she told me that her husband's sister-in-law was expecting too and due about 4-5 weeks before me. Then, while I was in Montana, she called me again and said that she suspected that *her sister was pregnant too. Yep, due one week after me! About one week after we got back from Montana another *older couple in our church announced that they were going to have a baby. I'm not sure what the due date was on that one though. Then Marlene came over one day and told me that 2 other people that we know are expecting! When I was able to get up and about again and go to church, I was talking to two other ladies in our church and found out that one is due in September and the other is just about 5-6 weeks along. Then Marlene comes along with some more news of another friend of ours. I don't know the details on that one, other than Marlene suspects it was a honeymoon baby!! And then last night Johnny and I called our good friends from South Carolina and found out that she too is expecting and due two weeks after me!!! I am probably the most excited about that one. So, congratulations to my dear friend Charlene!!! I wish you were here!
If I counted right, that is 10 pregnant people that surround me. So, if anyone is wanting to have a baby, please feel free to come visit, we have plenty of water. Although, from my own personal experience, I really can't recommend pregnancy to anyone!
*On a sad note, my sister-in-law and the older couple both have had miscarriages, so please pray for them. This is the 5th one for my sister-in-law.
Come, sit at our table and enjoy some of our crazy antics as we try to figure out this life with 6 kids on a small farm.

Happy _9th Birthday Mom!!! :)
Of course to fill in the blank you would have to use a 2!
I just wanted to take this time to wish the WORLD'S BEST MOM a Happy and Wonderful Birthday.
Hands down, I have THE BEST MOM in the whole world. Who else would fly half way across the country to play nurse maid to her ailing daughter for a whole month? I am forever indebted to her for her selfless acts. Without her, I don't even want to think about how much weight I would have lost or how much sicker I would have gotten. She was there for me 24/7. THANKS MOM!!! I love you so much and miss you now that you're not here.
Or course, I have the BEST DAD too. He went without my mom for a whole month and never complained. At least not to me! LOL We invited him to come stay with us too, but I think that he is so sensitive that he doesn't like to see his girls in any kind of pain. He is so sweet to let me have my mom for the time that I did have her. Thank you so much too, Dad, you're the best!!
I love you both and miss you terribly. Hopefully we'll see you again soon.

Let's Trade
Well, now that I'm back among the living, I thought I'd sit here for a minute. We'll see if it'll make me sick or not! (Yikes!)
Yesterday we took my mom to the airport and on the way there we stopped for some lunch. I actually ate something and it stayed down all day!!! Yay me!! LOL But that's not what I'm blogging about today. As we were sitting there enjoying our meal, we heard a tiny baby crying at the table next to us. Of course my mom had to OOOH and AAAAH over it and I had to take a peek too. After I looked at it and saw how small he was I told Johnny, "Go over there and see if they'll trade with us." (They could be pregnant again and I would have a baby! Problems solved!) Well, it wasn't so easy! Johnny said, "I think I would rather have OUR baby." To which I asked, "But WHY!?!?!" And HE said, "Because THAT baby will grow up to look like THEM!!!!" They weren't UGLY people, but I guess he wasn't impressed! LOL Then he said, "You have to think about the FUTURE Amy, not just RIGHT NOW!!!" LOL He is such good medicine for me, he makes me laugh all the time without even trying.
Well, I will try to write more later. Please keep praying as I know that is what has made me better!!! Thank you all SO much!!

Amy's Doing Better

Amy is doing much better thanks to all of your prayers! She has been up and around for several days now. My mom will be coming home this Thursday. Please keep up the prayers though; Amy struggles with sickness for the entire pregnancy, not just the first trimester. Pray that she'll have enough help with meals and housecleaning and the kids so that she doesn't relapse. ~Sherri

Update on Amy
Just a quick note to let you all know that Amy is doing better. She was able to get up this morning and eat a real meal. The last few weeks she's been living on chicken noodle soup, cream of wheat, and ice chips. She's only lost an additional four pounds since my mom went down to help. Everyone else is doing fine. Thanks for all the prayers. Keep it up. She still has a long way to go. ~Sherri~

Another Little Martin Is On The Way!
Amy has asked me to do a post to let everybody know what is going on. Her last post was done before their trip up here to Montana for Christmas. They stayed for about three weeks, and I think everyone had a good time. They really love being out here and were in no hurry to get home. We weren't too eager for them to leave either.
About two weeks before they left to come to Montana, Amy found out that they are expecting another baby. This is VERY exciting news; however, it's somewhat bittersweet because Amy gets severely ill when she is pregnant. The only good thing about her being this sick is that we know for sure the baby is healthy, and will in all likelihood make it full-term.
She did fairly well while they were out here. She was sick a few times, but nothing too terribly bad. She had my mom to cook for her and food was always readily available without too much effort being required on her part. It makes a WORLD of difference, let me tell you. It was a different story when they got home though. Johnny is very helpful, but he can only do so much since he has a job to do. In the two weeks since they've been home, Amy has lost ten pounds, maybe more by now. Very little that she manages to swallow will actually stay down. Please pray for her.
Our wonderful mother flew down there Saturday to help out indefinitely. I don't know what either one of us would do without her. It was sweet of my dad to let my mom go, too, since he's home all the time now. We'll try to keep him from getting terribly lonely. :)
Please pray that Amy will be able to eat and drink enough, and that it will stay down, that she'll have more energy to actually be able to get out of bed, and move around without feeling sick, and that she'll be able to sleep. I know she will appreciate it. I'll try to keep everybody posted on how she's doing until she can do another one herself. ~Sherri~

Family of 8??? Yikes!
Our family has grown by 8 feet this week!! Johnny's sister and her husband have taken a trip to California to go to a wedding and they asked us if we would be willing to watch their kids. So far things have been going well. Johnny has been taking the two boys (12 & 10) with him to work, and I have kept the two girls (8 & 6) plus my two (4 & 2) with me here at home. Johnny has been such a big help. I don't know what I would do if he wasn't. He is always happy to help out wherever he can and he even told me to go soak in the bath for an hour or so last night, while he took care of everything!! What a sweetie.
So, if any of you out there think about us, please pray that the kids will all continue to get along, cause that really makes it alot easier on me!

Many thanks!
I want to thank everyone who made my Birthday so wonderful!!! I am on my way to the NEW ME!! LOL
First of all I would like to thank my wonderful husband for being so sweet. He got up with the kids and wrapped my present for me and then offered to make me breakfast in bed!! After we were all up and ready to go, he took me to lunch and then we shopped the rest of the evening! We had a really good time. My shopping experience wouldn't have been successful at all without the generous gifts of my parents, and Marlene. Thank you all very much for the money and gift cards. And last but definitely NOT LEAST, I would like to thank my big sister for the gift she got me!! She bought me a subscription to missussmartypants.com and NOW for the first time ever, I know what kind of clothes to buy that suit my body structure!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Thank you also to Lester and Marlene for watching my kids for the evening and overnight for me!! You guys are the best!
All in all it was a very good day!!!
