Amy has asked me to do a post to let everybody know what is going on. Her last post was done before their trip up here to Montana for Christmas. They stayed for about three weeks, and I think everyone had a good time. They really love being out here and were in no hurry to get home. We weren't too eager for them to leave either.
About two weeks before they left to come to Montana, Amy found out that they are expecting another baby. This is VERY exciting news; however, it's somewhat bittersweet because Amy gets severely ill when she is pregnant. The only good thing about her being this sick is that we know for sure the baby is healthy, and will in all likelihood make it full-term.
She did fairly well while they were out here. She was sick a few times, but nothing too terribly bad. She had my mom to cook for her and food was always readily available without too much effort being required on her part. It makes a WORLD of difference, let me tell you. It was a different story when they got home though. Johnny is very helpful, but he can only do so much since he has a job to do. In the two weeks since they've been home, Amy has lost ten pounds, maybe more by now. Very little that she manages to swallow will actually stay down. Please pray for her.
Our wonderful mother flew down there Saturday to help out indefinitely. I don't know what either one of us would do without her. It was sweet of my dad to let my mom go, too, since he's home all the time now. We'll try to keep him from getting terribly lonely. :)
Please pray that Amy will be able to eat and drink enough, and that it will stay down, that she'll have more energy to actually be able to get out of bed, and move around without feeling sick, and that she'll be able to sleep. I know she will appreciate it. I'll try to keep everybody posted on how she's doing until she can do another one herself. ~Sherri~
Come, sit at our table and enjoy some of our crazy antics as we try to figure out this life with 6 kids on a small farm.

Family of 8??? Yikes!
Our family has grown by 8 feet this week!! Johnny's sister and her husband have taken a trip to California to go to a wedding and they asked us if we would be willing to watch their kids. So far things have been going well. Johnny has been taking the two boys (12 & 10) with him to work, and I have kept the two girls (8 & 6) plus my two (4 & 2) with me here at home. Johnny has been such a big help. I don't know what I would do if he wasn't. He is always happy to help out wherever he can and he even told me to go soak in the bath for an hour or so last night, while he took care of everything!! What a sweetie.
So, if any of you out there think about us, please pray that the kids will all continue to get along, cause that really makes it alot easier on me!

Many thanks!
I want to thank everyone who made my Birthday so wonderful!!! I am on my way to the NEW ME!! LOL
First of all I would like to thank my wonderful husband for being so sweet. He got up with the kids and wrapped my present for me and then offered to make me breakfast in bed!! After we were all up and ready to go, he took me to lunch and then we shopped the rest of the evening! We had a really good time. My shopping experience wouldn't have been successful at all without the generous gifts of my parents, and Marlene. Thank you all very much for the money and gift cards. And last but definitely NOT LEAST, I would like to thank my big sister for the gift she got me!! She bought me a subscription to missussmartypants.com and NOW for the first time ever, I know what kind of clothes to buy that suit my body structure!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Thank you also to Lester and Marlene for watching my kids for the evening and overnight for me!! You guys are the best!
All in all it was a very good day!!!

Gatlinburg - September 2006
My parents came to visit us in September and we took them to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked to, because I was running the camcorder, but here are the ones that we did get. Enjoy!

Simple Logic
Cheyenne was helping me wash Travis' sheets this afternoon and in her innocence, made me laugh yet again! So, in the simple logic of my dear little girl.......... a washer "could be a 'wetter' since the other one is a dryer and this one makes the clothes wet and that one makes the clothes dry." Makes perfectly good sense to me!!

Happy Birthday Marlene!!!
My best friend and wonderful sister-in-law turned 28 yesterday, and I want to take this time to wish her a very happy birthday and a wonderful year ahead!!!
She has been by my side through thick and thin, and we have shared some of the craziest moments of life together (created by US, of course). I trust her with my most precious secrets and she has never once let me down.
I know our husbands think that we are the absolute craziest people they have ever met sometimes, but deep down they really enjoy all of our bantering.
She and Lester invited us, along with 5 other couples to celebrate with them last night. We had a really enjoyable time. Supper at Chili's with bowling afterwards, made it a good time for all.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIS!!

Christmas Spirit
Well, it's time for a new post, so I guess I'll try to think of something to say. LOL
Is anyone else finding it hard to get into the Christmas Spirit this year? I don't know what it is. Maybe it's the fact that I haven't even started my shopping, or maybe it's the fact that I haven't been anywhere to see anything 'festive', or maybe it's the fact that some family (in-law) problems always seem to come to the forefront at the onset of the Holiday Seasons!! I am having a really hard time getting past this this time and I think it's having a negative effect on the whole Christmas Season for me. I won't go into details, but it is a very stressful situation and any and all prayers would be greatly appreciated.
I am learning more and more through all of it and still doing my best to lean on the Lord and to let Him take care of it all. His timing is not my timing, but nonetheless, it's ALWAYS better!
We have plans to go to Montana for Christmas and once I was starting to get really excited about it, my car broke down, costing us over $1500.00 and then that same week the clutch went out in Johnny's truck! Still more leaning and praying and trusting!! The Lord definitely knows better, and if it's His will that we stay here and have a small celebration with just the four of us, then that is what we will do and I will try my best to make it an enjoyable time for my husband and kids. They deserve it.
I am going to leave it all in the Lord's hands and trust that His will is the absolute best! Please pray for us during this trying time.
Please excuse my ramblings. Sorry this is such a 'down' post. A better post lies ahead. Stay tuned!!
